Par principe, le Comité de Course fait confiance aux skippers pour ne pas employer de moyens illicites dans ces compétitions (comme la téléportation). Par expérience le Comité de Course met tout de même en place des moyens pour contrôler la régularité des tentatives de record.
Les compétitions sont courues sur le logiciel Sailaway par OrbCreation Studios, pour l'instant sur le bateau "Mini Transat". Dès que de nouveaux bateaux de course seront introduits, leur utilisation sera autorisée dès la parution d'un avis sous le chapitre "Communications du Comité de Course" et les records seront établis par classe de bateau en plus du scratch.
Chaque skipper est libre d'utiliser le logiciel au niveau de son choix ( basique, avancé, expert). Il est également libre d'utiliser les fonctions du pilote automatique en ligne et hors ligne.
Toute aide extérieure à la prise de décision ou à la navigation est autorisé et même vivement recommandé... ( logiciels de routage, routeur à terre, appel à un ami )
1. DEPART
Chaque skipper est libre de prendre le départ d'un des parcours officiels proposés au jour et à l'heure de son choix et de le déclarer comme tentative de record. Le nombre de tentatives d'un skipper pour un parcours donné n'est pas limité.
Tout skipper prenant le départ d'un parcours pour une tentative de record devra le signaler au Comité de Course entre une heure avant et une heure après par MP à mon adresse ( Corsaire31 ) sur le forum de la communauté Sailaway francophone à l'adresse : https://communaute-fr-sail.forumactif.com/, comportant le nom du skipper, le nom du bateau (dans le jeu) et le parcours choisi.
En cas d'absence de ma part de plus de 24 heures, un autre membre prendra le relais et ceci sera notifié dans la partie "Chronos" du forum, sous le chapitre "Communications du Comité de Course".
Il sera également demandé de le signaler en direct au moment du départ par une validation de celui-ci ( procédure ci dessous dans le chapitre "validation" ) dans le salon #chronos du canal Discord de la même communauté à l'adresse : https://discordapp.com/invite/MQ7bcGB
Ceci permettra au Comité de Course de pouvoir suivre le bateau en temps réel sur la carte de Sailaway lorsque le skipper sera en ligne.
2. PASSAGE DES MARQUES OBLIGATOIRES
Par la même procédure de validation, le skipper devra valider sur le salon #chronos de Discord le passage des marques obligatoires, dans le sens spécifié dans les instructions de course du parcours correspondant.
3. ARRIVEE
Le passage de l'arrivée sera également validé de la même manière, ainsi qu'un MP à l'adresse du Comité de Course ( Corsaire31 ) sur le forum dès que possible en fonction de l'heure de passage.
Le Comité de Course aura 72 heures à partir de l'heure d'envoi de ce message pour examiner les différents éléments se rapportant à cette tentative et confirmer la régularité du parcours et la validation du temps par un MP au skipper et l'affichage du résultat ( ou de la non validation ) dans le chapitre "Records".
Toute tentative ne respectant pas les validations de départ, de toutes les marques de passage obligatoires et d'arrivée sera considérée comme nulle et non avenue.
4. ABANDON
Chaque skipper engagé dans une tentative est libre d'abandonner à tout moment, mais devra le signaler au Comité de Course au plus tôt par MP sur le forum.
5. ECHOUAGE
En cas d'échouage pendant la tentative, il est autorisé d'utiliser la fonction automatique de Sailaway pour remettre le bateau à flot. Attention toutefois si l'échouage se produit à proximité d'une marque de parcours obligatoire à bien repasser et valider la marque dans le bon sens.
6. RECLAMATIONS
Tout skipper ayant été notifié pour quelque raison la non validation de sa tentative de record ou la validation avec un temps qu'il estime erroné, pourra déposer réclamation auprès du Comité de Course par MP sur le forum, au plus tard 48 heures après réception de cette notification.
Le Comité de Course sera chargé de réunir un jury de 3 membres administrateurs du groupe qui aura une semaine pour examiner cette réclamation et rendre son verdict à la majorité. La décision du jury est sans appel. Elle sera communiquée au skipper par le Comité de Course.
En sa qualité de responsable du Comité de Course ayant prononcé l'avis initial de non validation ou de temps de la tentative, Corsaire31 ne pourra pas faire partie du jury.

Les classements seront suivis et affichés en permanence dans le chapitre "Records" ci dessous, par parcours en temps scratch et par classe de bateau.

By principle, the Race Committee trusts the skippers for not using illegal means in these competitions ( like teleportation ). By experience, the Race Committee sets nevertheless conditions to control the record trials consistency.
These competitions will be run on the software Sailaway from OrbCreation Studios, for the time being on the "Mini Transat" sailboat. As soon as other racing boats will be added, their use will be authorized as soon as a notification is published under the chapter "Race Commitee Communications" and the records will then be established by boat class on top of the line honors ranking.
Each skipper is free to use the software at any level ( basic, advanced, expert). It is also allowed to use the autopilot functions online and offline.
Any outside help for decisions or navigation is allowed and even warmly recommended ( routing software, shore-based router, call to a friend...)
1. START
Each skipper is free to start any of the official race courses on the day and time of his choice and to declare it as a record trial. There is no limit to the number of trials for each skipper on any race course.
Any skipper making the start for a record trial will have to advise the Race Committee between one hour before and one hour after the start through a PM to my name (Corsaire31) on the french Sailaway community website at : https://communaute-fr-sail.forumactif.com/, stating the in-game name of the skipper, the name of the boat and the chosen race course.
Should I be away for more than 24 hours, another member among the group's administrators will take over and it will be notified in the "Chronos" part of the forum, in the chapter "Race Committee Communications".
It will also be requested to advise of the start in real time through a validation of this start (procedure herunder in the "Validation" chapter.) in the #chronos room in the group's Discord channel at : https://discordapp.com/invite/MQ7bcGB
This will allow the Race Committee to follow the record trial and position of the boat in real time on the Sailaway map when the skipper will be online.
2. MANDATORY MARKS OF THE RACE COURSE
With the same validation procedure, the skipper will be requested to validate in the #chronos room of the Discord channel the sailing by the various mandatory marks of the chosen race course, as specified in the Racing Instructions of the said race course.
3. FINISH LINE
The crossing of the finish line will be validated following the same procedure, and with an additional PM to the Race Committee ( Corsaire31 ) as soon as possible following the crossing of the finish line, depending on the time of crossing.
The Race Committee will have 72 hours from the time this message is sent to control the different notices pertaining to the present record trial and validate the conformity of the race course and the official time by a PM to the skipper and display of the result ( or it's non-validation ) in the "Records" chapter on the forum.
Any record trial not respecting the validation procedures for the start, all the mandatory marks and the finish line will not be taken into account.
4. QUITTING
Each skipper in a record trial has the right to quit at any time, but will be requested to inform the Race Committee as soon as possible with a MP message on the forum.
5. RUNNING AGROUND
In case of running aground during the record trial, the skipper is allowed to use the automatic function of Sailaway to get his boat back afloat. Beware if the running aground happens near a mandatory mark to sail it the right way and validate it.
6. PROTESTS
Any skipper being notified for any reason the non-validation of his record trial or its validation with a time he believes to be wrong will be allowed to send a protest to the Race Committee through a PM on the forum, at latest 48 hours after receipt of this notification.
The Race Committee will be charged with assembling a jury of 3 members among the group's administrators. This jury will have one week to look at this protest and give its verdict with a majority. This verdict is indisputable and will be transmitted to the skipper by the Race Committee.
As head of the Race Committee who gave the initial notification to the skipper, Corsaire31 will not be allowed to be a member of the jury.
7. RANKINGS PUBLICATION
Rankings will be followed and published in real time in the "Records" chapter hereunder, for each race course with line honors and by boat class type.
